Quick trip to Germany

This is the reason I went to Germany
To do a presentation on the Crossman Couloir
at ISPO

Some after hours fun on a slack line flipping out.

Some skiing after all. The snow was not very good this year.

This is the hike to get to some of the goods at the ski area we went to.
You had to hike up these laders then go through a tunnel in the rock.
Pretty cool, keeps the beaters out.

That about all I've got to say about that now.

Utah Bound

Got a 4 day weekend. I arrive 7:35 AM at Slintl on Saturday 2/14.
I leave at 7:20 PM on Tuesday 2/17.

You SOBs better keep me busy. Make me an agenda.

East Ridge of Timpinogos

(east ridge is in lookers left od photo, separating Big Provo and Cascade Cirque)

Todd and I, along with our friends Gramps, Dave, and Nate skied the East Ridge of Mt. Timpinogos. We started at 6:45 am skiing up Primrose Cirque and then up the Timpinogos Snowfieldto the Saddle. We traversed around the East Summit on the West ( Provo) face of Timpinogos and gained the east ridge. Conditions warranted the use of an ice ax or whippet when traversing as a fall on the southwest facing ice would have resulted in an uncontrolled slide ending up in some Mo-Mo shereefs yard. The east ridge was hands down my favorite ski descent ever in Utah or Colorado. 4,800 vert in total, with the upper portions being double exposed double fall line 45 degree ridge skiing with cliffs on both sides. We exited the ridge via an amazing exit couloir through the cliff bands and into Big Provo Cirque. The remaineder of the run consisted of various powder bowls, and a few chose your own chute sections, one in which i got a small wind slab to release. The tour ended at Sundace Ski area where Todd and I sussed the lifts and rode the resort for a while then sussed free pizza from the restaraunt, in true Skier Boyz fashion- Adam M. Lawton

3 Ranges 4 Days

Uncle Keith this evening.  Sipping Hot Cocko.  Dreaming of RBGCs and Karl's ski gear for sale.
Its been clear and cold up here, below zero.  They say Redoubt is about to blow its stack, but I think all this hype will send the massive volcanic eruption elsewhere

Saturday: Chugach: Hiland Trailhead, clear cold, 1" very angry inch.  There were a few debris piles
from our big warm-up a couple weeks ago.  Rock solid frozen basketballs with that one angry inch....epganr
Sunday: Talkeetnas: Hatcher Pass: Kat, Annie K, and I rallied to the "Valley" to meet Tom and Chandra and Arlo (a.k.a. Spirit Heddy Crystal Dog) and to get our Palin Fever Booster Shots.  Clear, cold, and deep.  We skied a shot called Nose Bleed.  That might not be the name of it. The photo is of  Spirit Dog and Tom at the top.  The camera froze up after that.  About 24" of blower.  Made it into Wasilla for kickoff.
Today: Kenai Mountains: Sunburst.  Solo mission, sneak attack.  8" of windblown creamy niceness.  Clear cold.
Congrats to Dylan for the BC podium
I'll do better about photos, can't wait to see y'all soon
yee haa
